Yes. ACTV tickets are valid on both the lagoon water buses and the mainland bus network, including lines connecting Mestre and Marghera to Venice.
ACTV tickets can be purchased online (recommended to avoid queues) or at ACTV ticket offices at major vaporetto stops. Buying online allows you to board earlier and spend more time on the islands.
The most common route is line 12 from Fondamente Nove, with a stop at Murano and approximately 45 minutes of travel to Burano. Alternatively, line 14 departs from San Marco or Punta Sabbioni: on this route the order is reversed, with Burano first and Murano after. Line 14 has fewer departures, especially in winter. Full timetables are available on the How to reach Burano page.
To reach Torcello, take line 12 from Fondamente Nove, stopping at Murano and Burano before Torcello. In high season, line 9 also operates as a dedicated shuttle directly between Burano and Torcello. In winter, Torcello is only served by line 12. Full timetables are available on the How to reach Burano page.
Alternatively, we recommend a carefully selected list of boat excursions with onboard commentary.
