Privacy Policy of "Il Doge di Venezia"

(Concerning boat excursions operated and sold by "Il Doge di Venezia S.r.l.")

Dear Customer/Supplier,

Under the terms of art. 13 Italian Legislative Decree No. 196/2003 (hereafter ‘Privacy Code’) and art. 13 EU Regulation No. 2016/679 (hereafter GDPR), Il Doge di Venezia S.r.l. - P.Iva: IT03515100273 (hereafter ‘Data Controller’) wishes to provide you with the following information:

1. Subject Matter and Scope of Application

Personal data that may be collected are the following:

  • Personal data provided to receive a specific service (e.g. name and contact details);
  • Browsing data (e.g. IP address, location, pages visited, access time, clickstream analysis);
  • Cookies (see our Cookie Policy for details).

2. Purpose of Processing

The personal data collected (“Data”) may be processed for the following purposes:

  • a) Providing the requested service;
  • b) Customer satisfaction surveys based on legitimate interest;
  • c) With your consent, marketing communications and market research;
  • f) Improving the user experience on the website.

If the Data Controller intends to process your data for other purposes, you will be informed in advance.

3. Data Controller's Legitimate Interests

Without your express consent, data may be disclosed to supervisory bodies, judicial authorities, or others entitled by law. Your data will not be disseminated.

Data will be stored on servers within the EU and will not be transferred outside the EU.

5. Optional / Compulsory Data Provision

Providing data for clause 2.a is compulsory to fulfill legal and contractual obligations. Refusal may prevent service provision. Data for clause 2.b is optional, and refusal will result in no marketing communication.

6. Data Storage Times

Data for civil, accounting, and tax purposes will be stored for 5 or 10 years. Other data will be stored for 5 years after the business relationship ends, unless consent is withdrawn.

7. Data Subject's Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data (art. 15 GDPR);
  • Know the source, purposes, and methods of processing;
  • Request updates, corrections, erasure, or anonymization;
  • Object to processing on legitimate grounds;
  • Data erasure (art. 17), restriction (art. 18), portability (art. 20);
  • Request human intervention in automated processes (art. 22).

These rights can be exercised freely and at any time.

8. Response Time

The Data Controller shall respond within 30 days of a request, unless delayed for justified reasons.

9. Complaints

If you believe your rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with the Garante at www.garanteprivacy.it or initiate legal action.
